A full-size 'working' replica of the recording studio mixing desk was created for these studio scenes. There was a requirement for sliding faders and moving VU meters for the close-ups so these were wired to simulate actual sound levels. The vintage desk profiles were laser cut, painted and finished with laser engraved detailing. Sunn speaker cabinets and piano amp props were also replicated for the Live Aid concert stage scenes.
