We built 4 Humvees from scratch all for slightly different reasons; Gimble mounted for when it falls from the sky, Lightweight for the C-5 gimble rig, a rubber-skinned version for the actors to fall on and the most difficult version was the Humvee that came apart in sections for use in the underwater tank. All the doors, bonnet, boot, roof, windows could be removed for the safety of the actors and for the ability to manoeuvre the camera into difficult positions.
